1How long does cabinetry installation take on site?
On-site installation typically takes 1 to 3 days for standard kitchen or wardrobe projects, and 3 to 5 days for complete whole-house packages. Because all Hoya Kitchen cabinetry panels are precision-cut, edge-banded, and pre-drilled at our local factory, on-site work is strictly focused on assembly, leveling, wall anchoring, and counter fitting—minimizing noise and dust in your home.
2Do I need to finish renovation before installing cabinets?
Yes, major wet-works and infrastructure must be completed first. Ensure that wall tiling, plastering, initial painting coats, electrical wiring points, and plumbing inlet/outlet pipes are fully installed before cabinetry site measurements and final installation take place.
3Can cabinets be installed after flooring is laid?
Absolutely. Installing cabinets after tiles, vinyl, or SPC flooring is laid is standard practice. It ensures a level surface and clean aesthetic edges. We protect your newly laid flooring with heavy plastic and corrugated sheet lining during installation.
4What's the practical difference between laminate (HPL) and melamine?
Melamine (MFC) features decorative paper fused directly onto a particle board core during manufacturing—making it an economical, scratch-resistant choice for internal cabinet carcasses and bedroom wardrobes. High-Pressure Laminate (HPL) is a thicker, separate surface sheet glued onto plywood or blockboard—offering superior impact resistance, deeper textures, and higher durability for high-wear cabinet door fronts.
5What cabinet colors make a compact condo look bigger?
Light, low-contrast palettes visually expand tight condo spaces. Off-white, warm beige, soft cashmere gray, and light natural oak reflect ambient light and reduce visual clutter. Using handleless cabinet designs with continuous vertical woodgrains or gloss glass doors also creates an elongated spatial effect.
6Can cabinets be customized around existing home appliances?
Yes. During our floor plan review and 3D design phase, we record the exact dimensions (width, depth, height, and required heat ventilation clearances) of your existing or incoming appliances—including fridges, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, and washing machines—ensuring a flush, seamless fit.
7How do I properly clean woodgrain cabinet surfaces?
Wipe cabinets down using a soft microfibre cloth dampened with warm water and mild dish soap. Immediately dry with a clean cloth. Never use abrasive scrubbing pads, bleach, or solvent-based chemical cleaners, as these can strip protective edge-banding seals or dull the woodgrain finish.
8What warranty coverage is provided with Hoya Kitchen cabinetry?
Hoya Kitchen provides structural quality assurance across our products. We offer a 5-Year Warranty on Cabinet Carcass Structural Integrity (covering defect warpings or joint separations under normal usage) and pass through manufacturer warranties (up to Lifetime Warranty) on brand-name soft-close hinges and drawer runner mechanisms.
